Der Tod Und Das Mädchen (or Death and the Maiden) is a concept album based on the Jungian Archetype of the same name. The Archetype, found in vast amounts of literature throughout time, usually depicts a young woman (Das Mädchen) meeting an untimely demise. This regularly occurring theme seems to suggest that there is something within the human psyche that is affected by such a story. Namely, that of the inevitability of transience. Even that which is regarded by many as the most innocent or beautiful (that which is arguably least deserving of death) will pass, be it through death itself, or through the passage of time. There is a Japanese phrase which links to this story and describes the feelings of the nonparticipant observer: Mono No Aware (物の哀れ), that is, a gentle sadness in the face of transience, as well as a much deeper sadness with the knowledge that this is a fundamental state of reality. 

The album itself will attempt to blend both the dark, bleak nature of death with the fragility of beauty. Demo EPs I-III contain demos for this project. 

This album is currently in Phase 1 of production (i.e., musical ideas are still being created). Release of this album is TBA.

Rye is a concept album based on a relationship from the prelude to its epilogue. It is obsessive, fragile, and deeply personal.

The album itself will take a minimalist approach and consist of mostly piano. The concept currently consists of 6 movements, each representing a specific phase in the relationship. The Dance of Two Who Don't Touch Represents the first of these movements. The hands on the piano represent two individuals, first hesitant, moving forward towards and away from one another. This leads to a dance of the hands, stumbles, and subsequent conflict, which will foreshadow coming events. We've Become Slow Moving Stars.. represents the ending to the story. It first repeats the motif set in I., only slightly altered from time. It is then released. 

Currently the project is in Phase 1 (ideas are being put together). Any release date is TBA.    

Demens is an anti-album. It represents the fading memory of an individual with dementia (demens being the root word for dementia). Although acts like The Caretaker have made beautiful statements on this condition through music, and with great success, this project will seek to destroy the music contained within. Each song will represent a memory and will become distorted over time until it no longer exists. This type of album has not been possible until the advent of streaming services. Once the Demens process has begun, these tracks will eventually be lost through slow degradation.

Demens is set to begin on the Autumnal Equinox.
